Richie Hilburn, a bartender for more than 20 years, established the first Lone Star Lounge on Nov. 13, 2015, and has seen it flourish into a popular spot for locals.
“I wanted to create a lounge environment with a Texas flare,” he said. “We’re not hoity-toity like the lounges up in Austin. This is a relaxed, laid back New Braunfels environment, where we serve up our versions of the classic drinks as well as many other unique beverage options.
Lone Star Lounges take pride in their unique selection of beers and ciders including: Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA from Delaware, Traveler Grapefruit Shandy from Vermont and Austin Eastciders Pineapple Cider. The bar also offers local microbrews and imported beers on tap.
Lone Star Lounge offers a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of seating including outside tables. It plays music overhead and even has a party room in the back that can be booked for small gatherings like hosting your fantasy football draft.
But best of all, it’s a comfortable lounge offering amazing drinks served by knowledgeable staff right here in beautiful downtown New Braunfels. Be sure to also visit Lone Star Lounge Creekside located in Freiheit Village.
